Near the back of the gardens is this old rust-bucket of a truck, something that's been in the family for a very long time. It made for a special spot for a family photo. looking through the long-gone windshield... see the family photo gallery?Family Photos with the Rowlands Clan (+5 dogs!)Danielle asked me to come visit her brother's home for photos with her family. This one is a just-finished project in old Kitchener near downtown. It involved moving a few walls and a complete redesign of the space. There are lots of neat touches... like this wood-mounted lighting feature. The wood came from the old hardwood floors that were replaced with tile. It was made by the owner and a neighbour. The lighting has a gasworks sort of feel to it... The art... pages from the Noma cookbook (a christmas gift unbound by the dog) clever storage spaces... and a big shiny island... what a great workspace wouldn't you love to have one of these?? view some recent projects?Walking Down the River with Brennan & AmandaAmanda & Brennan are getting married this summer at Steckle Heritage Farm (which is perhaps the best wedding venue in the world). The farm in July is a wonderful place - I can't wait! We walked around the river in Downtown Cambridge and got some pretty neat photos... it started raining part way through the shoot and we hid out for a bit. I snapped a few while we waited out the worst of it... the rain made for a dramatic sky... want to see the weddings gallery?Amy & Graham at the University of Guelph ArboretumI'm excited for Amy & Graham's wedding this summer - they're getting married at the family farm out near the shores of Lake Huron. The day would turn hot and humid, but midmorning it was perfect... perfect enough for shortsleeves, sandboxes and babies in not many clothes at all. The Brennermans have these awesome evergreens in the backyard that backdropped the photos so nicely... the sun was shining through in a way that felt like it could have been a weekend at the cottage there was an ant on the sand castle...
