These are highlights from my mom's wedding. She and Harvey got married at a little restaurant in the country, surrounded by family and friends. When I photographed them I could see a twinkle in my mom's eye that I haven't seen in a while. It's good to see my mom really happy - the last few years have been tough for our family. My dad passed away suddenly a few years ago. Harvey's story is similar to my mom's - his wife passed away a few years before my dad.
My mom and Harvey met last year, hit it off and decided to get hitched. On wedding day they were both giddy, smiling ear-to-ear, their joy easy to see, even from across a crowded room.
My grandma is 95. She wasn't strong enough to travel to the wedding, so she facetimed in and watched the whole ceremony live from her chair in Cornwall. You can't really tell in the photo, but she was very emotional, so happy for my mom, her youngest daughter. Props to Aunt Irene who was on iphone duty.
I love you lots mom - keep smiling :)
