Shooting Stained Glass...

10/22/2012

I went out for a bike ride (the weather was gorgeous) tonight and brought my camera along in case something caught my eye. On the way home I spotted this cool stained glass window and rattled off a few frames.

The effect created in each photo is made by zooming while the photo exposes. Other than some cropping, these photos have not had any digital edits, colour manipulations or effects applied - they are exactly as shot.

The second photo was taken in such a way that the 'zoom' effect created a double image - two images of the same face, differently sized. What I didn't notice until after I took the photo was that the smaller face was positioned exactly in the hands of the larger person... creepy!
